Arcadia returns for its third instalment this Labour Day Long Weekend with a fresh new format seeing the event program flow over 2 days and nights. Kicking off on Saturday May 5th and culminating as the sun sets on May 6th, Arcadia prides itself on showcasing up & coming electronic artists from South East Queensland, and beyond. Set against the breathtaking natural backdrop of Goomburra Valley, revellers will discover a fully immersive experience incorporating interactive design elements, two stages of music and camping.

This year’s extended lineup packs a punch with two interstate acts heading the charge, London Topaz and Ok Sure. London Topaz caught the attention of Triple J listeners in 2017 thanks to his submission for Lordes Homemade Dynamite remix competition on Unearthed. Having recently played at the likes of Beyond the Valley and supporting Panama, the Melbourne-based electronic producer is tipped as one to watch in 2018.

Ok Sure shines a light on the darker side of electronica with her dark, brooding melodies. A seasoned performer, her downtempo soundscapes have washed over crowds at Let Them Eat Cake, Rainbow Serpent and more. Arcadia will be her Queensland debut and is sure to surprise and delight.

Dreamy duo Penelope Two-Five once again take to the main stage following on from their stellar performance at last years event. They will be joined by Brisbane producer Future Jr.s emotive wordplay, nostalgia-tinged electro-pop trio Stevie and the moody, synth laden sounds of Niterunner. Young gun producer JBox is back with his signature hooks and the catchy melodies of house producers Bayview Terrace are guaranteed to get stuck in your head on the drive home.

The expansion into a 2 day event has allowed the programming to venture into new territory. May Lyn introduces her genre bending mix of hip-hop and ambient electronic soundscapes while Syd Chronicles, a talented producer with indescribable groove rounds out the live line up.

Complimenting the live lineup is a bevy of handpicked DJs from across the Great South East. Returning for their third Arcadia, Emma Stevenson and Chris George will once again lay down a tasteful foundation. They will be joined by Fuzion, Jamie Grenenger, Matt Treffene, Jim Z and From. The newly added second stage is curated by Brisbane-based tastemakers Shade and BTHC who will be doing takeovers with their respective crews.

Just two hours south-west of Brisbane, it’s the perfect way to spend the long weekend with old and new friends. As in previous years, on-site camping adjacent to the event space is included in the ticket price which dotted with plenty of trees and hugged by the banks of Dalrymple Creek.

The Arcadia 2018 footprint will incorporate some of Brisbane's best and brightest visual artists, showcased in an immersive setting that is designed to captivate, delight and stimulate through a variety of mediums.

Tickets go on sale at 9am Thursday 15th February 2018 via OzTix.
